NSPS Core Competency Training
One of the best ways to prepare for implementation of the National
Security Personnel System (NSPS) is to further develop the skills
and competencies which are essential to transition to and thrive
in the new NSPS environment. Four core NSPS competencies have been
identified: 1) the ability to deal with change, 2) skill in interpersonal
communications, 3) the ability (for managers and supervisors) to
coach and counsel employees and 4) the ability to achieve results
and/or manage performance.
John Evans
and Associates states its commitment toward making the NSPS transition
as smooth as possible for the entire workforce, “Ensuring
that we deliver the required training necessary for the Managers
and Supervisors to be prepared to implement the program with the
integrity and ethics that assure the Employees fair and equitable
treatment”. That the Employees understand their roles and
responsibilities and can apply the behaviors to keep them prepared
with the new tools for the new rules they need to stay at the top
in rewards and assignments. This has always been a principle in
our courses-driven implementation approach. We want to make sure
those employees, supervisors, and leaders fully understand the requirements
of achievement in NSPS to succeed in a results-focused, performance-based
environment.”
